UWE Bristol is a thriving, modern university, offering a wide range of highly respected courses and employment-enhancing opportunities. Based in one of the UK’s most vibrant cities, UWE Bristol is a well-established university, with over 29,000 students, 250,000 alumni and 3,000 staff. International students make up 12% of the student population from 140 different countries around the world, making this a diverse and interesting place to come and study. 95% of UWE Bristol graduates in employment or further study six months after graduation.

Teaching an Employability

With more than 600 courses available at undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short course level, UWE Bristol offers a broad range of subjects across the arts, creative industries, he?alth, science, business, law, environment and technology disciplines. The University is well known for the quality of its teaching, and for student experience as a whole.

Close links have been built with leading employers such as Airbus, Hewlett Packard, CERN, Rolls Royce, the NHS, Aardman Animation and the BBC to help develop the right content for our courses and to give students exposure to diverse professional opportunities.

Campuses

UWE Bristol has 14 different departments, spread across three campuses in and around Bristol. UWE Bristol have also heavily invested in the latest facilities and resources to give students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m set to be spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020.

Services for International Students

UWE Bristol offers an airport pickup service for new students in both January and September, and orientation events during the first weeks of term. Students can also take free English language courses provided by the Centre for English Language and Academic Skills courses throughout the year.

Accommodation

Over 3,000 students live in our campus-based accommodation, many rooms are en-suite. UWE Bristol guarantees university-approved accommodation for all full-time students in their first year of study with us, who submit an accommodation application by the June deadline. There are around 4,500 rooms available in total and all UWE Bristol-owned accommodation includes overnight security, wifi, contents insurance and launderette facilities.

Location

UWE Bristol is based in the south-west’s largest city, Bristol, which is a thriving economic and creative city. Bristol was voted “Best Place to live in Britain 2017” and it is the ideal place to live and study, with its rich history, vibrant culture and nearby countryside and coast. It is also a top retail destination, with a great selection of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Bristol is ideally located just 90 minutes by train to London and 15 minutes to Bath. The city has an international airport which provides routes to most major European destinations.
