The University received a prestigious silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, exceeding national quality requirements for UK universities. Nearly 90% of our research submitted to the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) was assessed as world-leading, internationally excellent or internationally recognised. Top 20 in the UK for Qualified Teaching Staff. 79% of our academic staff hold a teaching qualification in additional to their academic and professional qualifications (HESA 2017/18)

In 2014/15 Canterbury Christ Church University and its students helped the regional economy flourish: £544M impact on the South East economy, £324M impact on the Canterbury economy and we helped create 4,006 additional jobs outside the University (Viewforth Consulting 2016). 93% of our most recent UK undergraduates were in employment or further study within six months of completing their studies* 9 out of 10 of our employed graduates are in graduate level jobs three-and-a-half years after finishing their studies – higher than the national average** 83% overall student satisfaction in the 2018 National Student Survey
