Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) has been in the historic heart of Lincoln for over 150 years, a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle and the old Roman city.

In recent years the University has grown rapidly expanding and developing its portfolio of courses into more exciting new areas. BGU consider ourselves experts in education and have been teaching it for over 150 years, but its teachingprogrammes now sit alongside an exciting range of other subjects, including drama, psychology, sociology and sport.

Bishop Grosseteste was awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework, beating two-thirds of Russell Group universities, and BGU’s strength in teaching and learning is complemented by small class sizes and the personal approach which supports students.

• 64th in Times Good University Guide 2021

BGU is ranked 8th for Teaching Quality in the Times Good University Guide and the National Student Survey found high satisfaction across the entire student experience including learning, teaching and academic support; leading to an 85% satisfaction rate. This places BGU above the sector average and one of the top 40 universities in the country for student satisfaction.

The Graduate Outcomes survey saw BGU ranked 3rd in the UK for employability when compared to non-specialist universities and 91% of BGU graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation.
